Interview with In chul YEO at Saturday 30th of September 2017

FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
IY: We pursue furniture of architectural design. It mainly focuses on the function or form of architecture and mainly interprets it as a household language.

FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
IY: We look forward to feedback on various uses and feedback on how we propose not to propose.

FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
IY: We want to gain popularity through continuous development and exhibition.

FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
IY: Although it took about seven months to build, the preparation period was prepared for about three years.

FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
IY: This design was designed to inspire many people. In particular, those who wanted to appreciate the value added to the residential space were those who wanted to appreciate it.

FS: What made you design this particular type of work?
IY: NO. We are trying to produce our work through our hands. However, if there is a company that can make our work more accurate and beautiful, we will consider it.

FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
IY: In KOREA

FS: Who is the target customer for his design?
IY: Public.

FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
IY: The main difference is that you can use the user to perform Customization.

FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
IY: Loggia's name is used to resemble the character of a household. Logia, which changes to various types of character, rather than space, resembles ours.

FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
IY: The tools used by wood tools are the tools we use mainly.

FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
IY: Mortise & Tenon

FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
IY: No

FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
IY: Mortise & Tenon_Wood joinery

FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
IY: A survey was conducted on a number of residential backgrounds and various jobs in various professions.

FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
IY: It was a need for various people.

FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
IY: We wanted to introduce our designs to more people.

FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
IY: We have learned that the need for other parts we do not think is necessary for many people.

FS: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions?
IY: To have none
