It is inspired on the company FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? FC: It is a two in one service tables. FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? FC: Sotavento is produce by order. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? FC: it was a two month project FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? FC: this is a commission. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? FC: Fabrizio Constanza design produce Sotavento by order FS: What made you design this particular type of work? FC: the client's requirement of two service tables FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? FC: no FS: Who is the target customer for his design? FC: Art and design enthusiasts FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts? FC: it is a composition of two elements that work well together and separate FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? FC: Leeward is the direction downwind (or downward) from the point of reference. FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? FC: Three D modeling and sympathetic communication with all people involve in the production FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? FC: balance of composition. the two elements work great together or separate FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? FC: yes, with 3d drafters, metal workers and wood workers FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design? FC: 3d visualization FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? FC: interior design research of the area. FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? FC: Creating unique objects is always challenging. it requires new production techniques FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? FC: it is important to share good design to future generation of designers
