Interview with Elvira Firsova at Wednesday 25th of April 2018 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? EF: Love of pumpkins!) Packing with pumpkin was the first, then I did the rest of the packs starting from the first impression. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? EF: I wanted to show that the soups are delicious, the same as the grandmother prepares. Natural, but it saves your time. FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? EF: These awards are a big step forward for me, since I needed to understand what I can. This pobada gave me a big push and confidence that I'm doing the right thing. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? EF: Approximately 1 week was needed to work out the idea and search for a suitable species FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? EF: This project was an order. He coincided with the mood and inspiration. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? EF: Yes, this design is completely executed by me FS: What made you design this particular type of work? EF: I like it when the customer is happy, getting the work done. This is our goal, making people happier and letting them fall in love with their business FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? EF: With this design, the work was done on its own FS: Who is the target customer for his design? EF: This is a new soup company FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts? EF: Many soups are patterned and do not attract attention. They either show naturalness or taste. FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? EF: It was easy, since we used the name "Ze Soup". We added a note "Ze" to give something foreign to our soups. FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? EF: My instrument was paper with a pencil and a macbook FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? EF: Probably the goal is to cause an appetite and a desire to try our soup FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? EF: No FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? EF: We conducted research in the store. How many people react to our design. How much they want to take it in their hands and see. FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? EF: Controversial black background. Since many products have a white background. It seemed that this would alienate the consumer. FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? EF: I decided to try myself and understand how important it is that I do FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work? EF: I learned to approach the project from two sides: the realization of the idea of the client and the embodiment of his idea in reality. Everyone will understand what happens in most cases - these are two wound solutions. FS: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions? EF: I am grateful that I came here. I want to say thank you!
