Interview with Mike Amirov at Tuesday 28th of March 2017 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? MA: Simplicity, the ratio of ideological representation and real visualization FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? MA: The key moment - to transfer the idea from the head to the canvas FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? MA: We are sure that communicating design is capable of much. Our task was to demonstrate the level of skill. It's too early to talk about rewards, but we believe that we can win FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? MA: 1 month of dense work FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? MA: It was both inspiration and work FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? MA: Our design product is successfully used by our client in its activities FS: What made you design this particular type of work? MA: Customer request FS: Who is the target customer for his design? MA: Ordinary people who value aesthetics in its simple manifestation FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts? MA: We did not compare our product with anyone FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? MA: The name has already been invented before us. The name speaks for itself FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? MA: Pencil, paper, Ai, Ps FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? MA: Simplicity and the ability to understand it to anyone FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? MA: Work inside the studio, also we contacted the customer FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design? MA: We applied several interesting techniques in the development of packaging with the logo: ultraviolet lacquer and gold foil stamping FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? MA: We received positive feedback after the fact, before relying on intuition FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? MA: We chose the main color of the logo for a long time and the color of the pattern on the package FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? MA: We believe that our product and experience need to share with the whole world, it makes it better. I think that this competition fosters this FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
