Editor Frank Scott (FS) from DesignPRWire has interviewed designer Max Bessone (MB) for A' Design Awards and Competition. You can access the full profile of Max Bessone by clicking here. Access more information about the award winning design Nutratify packaging here.

Interview with Max Bessone at Wednesday 23rd of November 2016

FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
MB: The unusual design of the container has been inspired by the Aristotle’s conception of the five elements. In particular, it is the representation of the Aether, essence of life. The Aether is generated by an upside-down triangle, where the tip is pointing downward symbolizes the female and the triangle with the point facing upward represent the male.

FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
MB: I focused on creating a product for people. After the survey, I had many data to work with and I found out that most of the consumers of healthy products, keeps the containers in the car or in the bag. They wanted a not bulky packaging, easy to grab and carry. But they also were looking for an elegant product, which can be left on a shelf at home. The unusual shape stop the rolling of the container, while the top can be easily opened with one hand. Moreover the look&feel of it makes the container an elegant object to leave at sight.

FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
MB: Nutratify wants to invest into technology to help people, not just with improving the overall well-being, but also to design their own plans and achievements through the development of a better and more powerful app.

FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
MB: About 3 months

FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
MB: Client brief was based on the creation of a different product, made for people, which could make the difference on the shelves between competitors' product. I have explored many different shapes and solutions before to bump into the final idea, which I felt it was satisfying the most of the needs required. Then, the concept of the Aether has been really inspiring to create a unisex product.

FS: Thank you for providing us with this opportunity to interview you.
