Interview with Viktor Bilak at Wednesday 5th of October 2016 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? VB: The main idea of the exhibition stand Palitra is the image of sunny meadow with flowers. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? VB: The main focus of this project was to connect the drawing of the flowers of wallpaper in interior of the stand and real flowers used in decoration of the stand. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? VB: This design concept take about five months. FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? VB: The name of this design is the name of customer Wallpaper Factory Palitra. FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? VB: The most unique aspect of this design is the illusion of sunny meadow. This effect achieved by special lighting and flower decoration of the stand. FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? VB: I collaborated with marketing and design teams of KOF Palitra. For this event Wallpaper Factory Palitra produced special collection of wallpaper correspond to the design concept of the stand. FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? VB: The project required special selection of colors of different stand materials correspond to the image of sunny meadow.
