FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
CP: Design a unique and special piece of furniture. Simplicity, balance and elegance. Three, as an important number in my life. Stool, as a useful seat anywhere

FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
CP: I wanted to design and create a delicate, balanced and elegant piece of furniture.

FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
CP: Make everyone knows it.

FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
CP: The design concept process was short, the design project and prototype process was longer. In both cases absolutely ejoyable.

FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
CP: It was the piece of furniture missed in my studio.

FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
CP: My plan is to sell the production rights. Meanwhile I´s being produced and sell by myself.

FS: What made you design this particular type of work?
CP: I wanted to join wool and wood. The design and function was chosen because of a need.

FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
CP: No there weren´t

FS: Who is the target customer for his design?
CP: Young and middle aged people who are looking for a relaxed and enjoyable moment.

FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
CP: Because of the number of its legs, and the number of materials used. Three is also a very trascendent number in my personal life

FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
CP: Old and beloved pencil, (drawings and sketching with colour pencils); 3D models with wood; AutoCad; Corel Draw and Photoshop

FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
CP: Hand made felt and the wire structure that join the wooden body

FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
CP: Carpenters, blacksmiths and 3D model draftsman

FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
CP: Equally esencially as the manual role

FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
CP: no

FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
CP: The hand made felt. I took a course to learn the technique.

FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
CP: I´m in love with this project, so I wanted to show it to the world

FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
CP: I confirm that well designed details make the difference.

FS: Thank you for providing us with this opportunity to interview you.
