Interview with kasra farzam at Thursday 19th of May 2016 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? KF: combining the digital media with the physical objects (scale model) in a dynamic way FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? KF: in this project we had about 9 different scenario's and some online and external data that . presenting this much data in a interesting way and having the full attention of audience was a pretty hard task. we should eliminate any kind of distraction . FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? KF: this not a simple product. actually we see this work as a platform. the presentation possibilities are endless. from a single model to a very complicated connection between some models we can show a lot of data on a single platform. we have some new clients and they are very interested to have this platform . and now we are working on industrial presentation . FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? KF: all of the work was about to 5 month FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? KF: this is the second version of a dynamic model for presenting the complex tasks done by shaparak. in the last model there was no interaction between audience and just some fixed scenarios . after succesfull lunch of the last model shaparak co placed order for this model. an interactive and online model. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? KF: this is a platform that we build and customize for different needs of clients. FS: What made you design this particular type of work? KF: in presentation we believe in transferring the most information to audience in the less time . because of the complexity of each scenario a single animation or program or physical model was not enough. we had to combine this mediums to achieve a complete experience.
