FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
TG: Connection, I have been thinking how to present the extraordinary way of connection, especially connecting two different material.
FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
TG: The way how to connect, it's very precise of the metal, when those claw keep the bead very safe, it can not move easily piece by piece, if the claw too open, the bead will easily come out .
FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
TG: Will product more different small product, will change pink opal to crystal clear glass, the concept will be more clear.
FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
TG: one year after MORROWS. (silver award of 2014) it's an updated version of MORROWS.
FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
TG: I am trying to find a new way to connect jewellery, it's not only to show people how special of this concept, it's also shows how amazing that the meaning of connection. (not to own it, but to have it; not to hurt it, but to protect it )
FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
TG: This design is belong to my jewellery brand, I am intent to produce my work for my brand.
FS: What made you design this particular type of work?
TG: God, i am a christian. I have to say this idea is come from God.
FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
TG: The way of combining all the parts, the new way of connection.
FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
TG: JOINT, it's joint, the meaning of Joint
FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
TG: rhino, 3d printer,
FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
TG: The new way of connection. without pin and glue, without chain.
FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
TG: protagonist
