Interview with Basic Design at Thursday 12th of March 2015 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? ZL: Principles that need to be coordinated with the external environment, inspiration is originated from the environment at the same time, the local natural environment element, we should make good use of . FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? ZL: Focus on the experience of people wandering in this space, let people feel thick natural forest breath. FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? ZL: Award is recognition own design work, we will continue efforts to encourage yourself, keep improving, make more and better projects. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? ZL: From conception to project implementation, need two months time. FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? ZL: Because of need to consider mutual coordination between and among architecture, environment, interior, so we suggest that introduce the elements of the outdoor indoor, the delegate is identity and appreciate our point of view. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? ZL: The delegate want design this project ,and we design is subject to the requirements of the clients accordingly. FS: What made you design this particular type of work? ZL: According to this project Positioning development, the project belongs to the tourism industry, the natural environment is their advantage, so the design must be very good use of resources. FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? ZL: Our design team independently this project. FS: Who is the target customer for his design? ZL: For tourist vacationing industry investment target customers FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts? ZL: We take advantage of the original track the change of the material to create beautiful things, size is suit to make a space adequately breathing to the breath. FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? ZL: Name from the project's tourist attractions. FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? ZL: AutoCAD、3DMaxSketchupAiPS FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? ZL: We through the combination of different methods, and use a single material,to create a different spatial expression. FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? ZL: We are in the form of a team to complete the project, including soft outfit, engineering, and equipment. FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design? ZL: Auxiliary role, is in the process of implementation, we will use their experience to implement the design concept. FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? ZL: Such as the relationship between the sunshine time and Angle, material contraction and expansion, and lighting design. FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? ZL: For example : natural material stability, and cost constraints, how to use the materials effectively. FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? ZL: We think we can show our design and make more people to recognize us through this international platform. FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work? ZL: Enough communication and understanding, can make the design more perfect. FS: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions? ZL: We need to work hard, and hope that the design work can do better in the future.
