Interview with Sharon Webber-Zvik at Monday 18th of August 2014 FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? SW: I assume that it is an interesting process: usually logos are made for products, In this case I created a product out of a logo... FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? SW: Hiring the air brush artist Mark Polikovsky to paint the 3D printed Jelyfish guaranted loyalty to the brand's color values. FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design? SW: Oh, I am so fascinated with the 3D printer, learning how to create the Jellyfish with it was fabulous FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? SW: first of all, finalizing the concept for international investment firm named “Jellyfish”- the context of a spineless creature to money and investment was problematic. The next challenge appeared when I decided to turn the flat logo into to a mascot. Than I needed to learn 3D software from scratch with tight time limitation. FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? SW: I belive in this design evolution and I am proud of it. I wanted it to be shown FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work? SW: It was the first time I have ever expirenced with 3D modeling and 3D printing. It was a lot of fun, and I can't wait to do it again!
