Interview with Mostafa ArvandBARMCHI at Monday 14th of April 2014 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? MA: The conceptual idea of the product is derived from the shells of sea and ocean. The outer shell and inner shell literally out of the darkness and into the light of oysters, Flexible movement of the sand beach and sea waves are dealing with. However, it has to be integrated into the overall design. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? MA: Product design for everyone, not a particular category, and considering the artistic beauty product that just having an art consultant and anthropologist possible. And minimum energy consumption using the latest manufacturing techniques and the highest efficiency in the world of light. FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? MA: Probably the best choice in the coming years, and won more major titles, Building relationships with creative people, producer, industry, and other designer. My main Plan is : More effort Success Larger purpose And finally a better choice FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? MA: The initial idea to final design for nearly 20 days to 54 days with a predetermined program. FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? MA: The final design was presented to the employer's request., But the design ideas by designer and art consultant has been done. Client:Deco Light Group Co. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? MA: The product is now being analyzed and prepared for the next 2 months will be provided to the volunteer companies. Rated designer is completely monopolized. FS: What made you design this particular type of work? MA: As you know the form of the function and design of these concepts, not isolated. This product has been designed with the vision and the hope is the correct answer. FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? MA: Yes I have friends of the designer in European countries such as Italy, Spain and Germany. The Italian and Spanish form of German courage, function and the learned counsel and consultants was useful to me. FS: Who is the target customer for his design? MA: All people FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? MA: schön: In German the word "schön" Sense of beauty And it is only a personal interest in these terms causes named. FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? MA: Pencils and creativity, and nothing :) FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? MA: Light surface of this unique lamp is placed in center of the overall shape, so it illuminate a soft and uniform light source. The light is separable from the main body so simple body shape with lower parts plus saving energy through low consumption of electricity give it a extra feature. Also touchable body for turning the light on or off is another modern feature of this unique light. FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? MA: Ms Sepideh Golgoon As Artistic Adviser FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design? MA: Alongside the traditional uses of standard lighting, OLEDs provide new ways in which structural lighting and special lighting can be used. OLED technology is set to completely transform the way in which light is perceived, allowing for new and exciting applications. And this is just the beginning. FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? MA: Scientific studies and research on how light appearance, performance, usage and form citizenship product performance. Research on light sources OLED But technology today is the day. FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? MA: The designer utilizes a new material will not always agree with the use of optical behavior in the early stages of product testing time has passed and transmission of light at internal surfaces of the product, the initial response has been favorable., But designers and consultants are hopeful that the outcome will be favorable. FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? MA: Always motivated, I have been participating in the international event. Entry in ADESIGN AWARD & COMPETITION Causing a competition for designers and artists will be an international event. Apart from the event to share their designs in the exhibition will be a social activity. FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work? MA: Persians: Experience is the mother of the knowledge Experience in the use of new materials, technologies and manufacturing methods have led to increased knowledge and meet the user demands the best approach would be.
