Interview with Romulo Temigue at Monday 23rd of May 2022 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? RT: The main principle was always to be happy with everything that I'm doing in Design. From the process till the final product. Usually, I make things for my own happiness and I believe happiness will be delivered for everybody around me. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? RT: I'm always using colors with everything. I believe that in this especific project I wanted to separate the colors and enjoy each one of them alone. FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? RT: I'll manufacture a piece and see the scale in real life so I can understand which client it will attend. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? RT: Usually I design fast. One week is the maximum timeline for my works. Sometimes it takes a lot longer. But mainly it's fast. FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? RT: On a normal day, I wouldn't make furniture with upholstery. But this one made me think about confort and home furniture to relax. It was not commissioned. Although, I'm always designing with that in mind. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? RT: Not yet. I still don't know. Maybe with a good offer I can think about it. But never without my name. FS: What made you design this particular type of work? RT: I wanted a big chair to use as "THE" confortable chair of the living and also wanted a colorful piece. So I made this. FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? RT: My head is a mix of everything I see everywhere. It's impossible to mention. FS: Who is the target customer for his design? RT: People who likes colors and big pieces at their homes. FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts? RT: Nothing. I think every Design and every Designer have it own style and people who enjoy their works. In my case, if you like colors and whinsical pieces, you're done!
