Interview with Edgar Jara Asilvera at Wednesday 26th of May 2021

FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
EJ: The fundamental principle is the creation of a logo that reflects and conveys the essence of the company name, Inspiration the blades of the engines found in most vehicles and industry.

FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
EJ: The main objective of this work was to provide the company with a brand with a strong symbol, recognizable of great impact.

FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
EJ: First, promote the award received nationally to strengthen the identity of the created brand and the quality of the work done.

FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
EJ: Work from start to finish, including identity usage manuals took about 4 months

FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
EJ: The design was commissioned by the company Grupo Crisma

FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
EJ: This design is being used by the project contracting company

FS: What made you design this particular type of work?
EJ: The gratification of having designed high-level marks that last the time.

FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
EJ: For this particular project I had no external influences of specific designs or professionals.

FS: Who is the target customer for his design?
EJ: Owners of self-combustion vehicles, electric vehicles and industry in general

FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
EJ: The originality of the concept created from a part of the letter "e" of energy

FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
EJ: The name was based on the main element of mobility that is energy and that I move absolutely everything in our environment

FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
EJ: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop

FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
EJ: The isotype that represents the blades of an engine propeller

FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
EJ: The project was entirely my competition

FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
EJ: The technology in this design has a very important presence because it is through its shapes and colors represents the different types of fuels and energy supplies (automotive electricity) marketed for auto vehicles and the industry in general

FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
EJ: Absolutely he design is influenced by extensive research into the elements that make up the activity of the contracting company and the target audience of the contracting company.

FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
EJ: One of the main challenges was to incorporate several types of products marketed into a single generic concept that represents and pragmatically identifies the company's activity.

FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
EJ: Through an invitation received via mail by A'DESIGN AWARD COMPETITION

FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
EJ: With this particular work and managed to strengthen the research and development processes of the proposals by refining and redefining the concepts in a practical and very effective way.

FS: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions?
EJ: The development of this particular project met all my expectations and that of all those who have evaluated participated in the approval process of the new brand. I consider it a personal pride to have achieved with the international award that positions me as a top-level professional with assured quality and judgment.
