SC: the idea came from a lantern i made with my dad during my childhood. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? SC: designing a concept that could create a 3D feel, with the idea usable on any kind of patterns. FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? SC: I would like to design more patterns using this concept. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? SC: few months. FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? SC: I couldn't spot this design concept anywhere I went or in any retail shops, therefore, I had the urge to bring my idea to life. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? SC: I'm open to collaborations if there comes an opportunity. I will definitely consider. FS: What made you design this particular type of work? SC: It's been spinning in my head for quite sometime where I do not see this concept at any retail stores. FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? SC: none. FS: Who is the target customer for his design? SC: Women of any age. FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? SC: Essentially I would like to know how good my design is and what the judges think.
