PROFILE:
This project is the world's first centralized control center in the steel industry. It is invested by Wuhan Iron and Steel Group Echeng Iron and Steel Co. Ltd in collaboration with Baoxin Software Research and Development Co. Ltd. This control center is at No.215 Wuchang Road, Ezhou Province, Hubei, Chine. When we received this architectural design project, in order to achieve the green design concept that I have always advocated, we decided to avoid the second time decoration. Therefore, in the layout of the building, two atria were designed to ensure the daylight during the day and enhance the indoor air flow. Meanwhile, the green plants in the atria also added some natural scenes for the office clerks. In order to break the rigid space, we divide the 700mmX700mm column of the inner corridor into 350mmX700mm small column. In this way, the beam on the small column and the 700X700 column on the outer wall of the building are connected at the top into a V-shape. It shows the beauty of the structural design and also enrich the space. The lights are hidden in the bottom of the beam。Through the reflection of white sound absorption material could effectively avoid the interference of dazzle light on the operator's line of sight and also reduce the indoor noise. We tried to create a relaxing and interesting office environment, so we set up a coffee area below the staircase. When the staff changing their shifts, they will pass through the open staircase. In order to avoid the cost and the pollution that caused by second time decoration, the wall column was made of plain concrete. The floors combined both traditional terrazzo ground and the antistatic floor.
