| DESIGN NAME: No. 1328 Concentration PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House INSPIRATION: The house is created with no decorations at all. When furniture and decorations are put up, they embrace and complete each other harmonically. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The ideal design for the inhabitants is a home without visitors. For this reason, the core of the design plan is about simplicity and to perfectly combine its functions with comfort. The living room is on the first floor; master bedroom and study are on the second floor; the children’s rooms are arranged on the third floor, and a Buddhist chapel is on the fourth floor. The basement is the recreation room with minimum decoration to leave as much space there as possible. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Understanding the owner’s desire for a simple home living (possibly receiving no visitors), followed by countless discussions and space focusing with 3D drawings, that narrows down the elements needed in space for an essential home living, thus invoking ideas for interior design. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project finished in May 2018 in Taoyuan City, Taiwan. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Interior Space and Exhibition Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Faces of both interior / exterior walls are of 34-degree gray. Textures and colors on the walls display different layers of light and shadow as light hits on the wall shifts. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: An area of space is 675 square meters. TAGS: Simple, minimal, energy, light, life, pure, nature, interior design, residence RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The large gray wall defines the indoor layout. Interior design tricks such as openness, closeness, slop, and divisions are used according to the dimension of light, the flowing of wind and the habits of the inhabitants to create an appropriate ratio for individual space. Furthermore, the aesthetics of the space is being horned here. CHALLENGE: In addition to introducing natural wind and light indoors, water purification devices, dehumidification, and AC systems are installed in the entire house to maintain the long-term quality for software and hardware there.
