| DESIGN NAME: Skyline PRIMARY FUNCTION: Sofa INSPIRATION: Skyline is inspired by layered images of a play between color and light in sunrise and sunset. It is for the purpose of making a warm and tranquil ambience in home or work place.For making layers in the sofa, colored industrial felt cut-outs are used. Technically for making depth in Skyline, paper art methods have been used. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Making the Skyline is pretty easy and as the colors are adjustable it suits to any space.Cheap material and easy assemblage leads to a relatively cheap price. Through combining differed colors, any time of the day can be simulated, for example it can represent sunrise or sunset time. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: skyline is a good background for your photographs and selfies, you can take beautiful pictures while you are leaning. children can use skyline curves as a road for their toy car. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Industrial felt sheets will be cut by laser beam and punched to the main body after proper layering. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Width 2250mm x Depth 595mm x Height 860mm TAGS: sofa, skyline, furniture, color combination, sunrise, sunset, industrial felt, nasim ashrafpour, layered, colorful RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Analyzing shapes and colors of atmosphere in various hours helped to create Skyline. CHALLENGE: The biggest challenge while designing the skyline sofa was to expressing the concept with the simplest and the most effective way. Finding a way to elicit appropriate emotions with the help of memories and background of user and their visual and emotional experience in order to make connection with them.
