| DESIGN NAME: Div e Sepid PRIMARY FUNCTION: Bracelet INSPIRATION: This piece is an integrative of form of a bird and the beast (the Simurgh and Div e Sepid, the White Demon). There is a mystical prospective of myth creatures in Iranian art. In Iranian myth bird is the sign of the soul and although the beast is the sign of the evil but at the same time it was humans first teacher, and it taught Kumars (Iranian first king) his knowledge! UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Persian painting is a style for illustrating old books. since the designer of following project (Mehdi Moazzen) has a history of Iranian design and manufacturing of gold and jewelry, he has been thinking of combining traditional Persian painting with gold smith techniques to create a new field in jewelry crafts with his mythological background in arts. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: better be crafted using tiny brilliant cut diamonds as secondary gems to perform a better reflection. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: the project was started in July 07, 2015 and finished in July 18, 2015, Sari, Iran. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: This design is from a series of jewelries (Love Manifestation, by Mehdi Moazzen) respired by classical Persian painting individually. craftsmanship-ed by saw and joints are welded to the point of view. at this stage gems were installed, and at the end touch the shades were created by inserting the patina. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Dimensions of bracelet, length of 145.00mm, height of 42.07mm, and weight of 21.660gr, Gems, Green Saphire 5.80ct, dimensions of 12.75mm x 10.11mm, Topaz 2.50ct, dimensions of 9.08mm x 6.84mm. TAGS: Love manifestation, Div e Sepid, white demon, Moazzen, jewellery, luxury, design, Iranian, Necklace, RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Inspired by Iranian classical paintings, trying to perform a new method of jewellery design, reaching out to classical myths and poems, also (miniature) classical paintings, trying to make a new way explain mythical and poetic classics in luxury and modern jewellery design. CHALLENGE: the act of converting Iranian classical poems and paintings to jewellery form, by using gems and other materials as elements of creativity.
