| DESIGN NAME: Unity PRIMARY FUNCTION: Coffee table INSPIRATION: For a long time, I thought that I could develop something in furniture design, like a sculpture, containing a specific concept and memorable point, and finally I thought of making a table that has this feature. I chose the concept of truth and unity because there is no unity that does not endure truth that I have seen among the communities and the people of these days. And also make a table that is beyond any luxuries and complexities. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This table is made from 3 parts. The connections are designed to be easily plugged in and out. The circle shape of the table is to have more movement environment around it and also its transparent glass makes the rooms space seems bigger, for showing unity I used this 5 pillars and connected them with a chrome ring. For material I chose concrete because concrete doesn't lie. It captures, registers then expose pure detail and texture of the interior of its form. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: To assemble the table, only 10 screws have been used to connect the ultra-light concrete pillars to chrome ring. This table can be used both in indoor and outdoor environment, and because of the use of ultra-light concrete, it can easily be displaced. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Unused kart tire will be used for pillar molding. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: W 1500 x L 1500 x H 350 (mm) TAGS: Concrete, glass, chrome, circle, art, minimal, modern, coffee table, RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The initial idea of making this table came from the time I came to know concrete and recognized it as a substance that shows the behavior of a living being. I started with the intrinsic qualities of concrete, which means Concrete does not lie. It captures, registers then expose pure detail and texture of the interior of its form. I constructed each pillar from concrete, which played the role of honest people, and kept together as one ally and table that was actually their goal. He has various activities in design industry. At age twelve he registered his first invention. Acquiring two ITEX bronze medals in 2010, and numerous patents on health and safety issues. |
