| DESIGN NAME: Era PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential High Rise Architecture INSPIRATION: The architecture is inspired by aerodynamics, with modern forms and light colors, and a nautical theme. Its layout follows a sailboat's contours, giving the sensation of being inside a yacht. ERA represents progress and innovation, reflecting the future of architecture and design in the city. It's a beacon of hope, inspiring residents and visitors to embrace change and strive for progress. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Inspired by the waves and nautical lines, the Era development is located in a booming city on the coast of Santa Catarina, Brazil. The robust structure finds lightness and modernity through light and striking horizontal lines, complemented by the gardens that run along the tower creating movement effect and biophilicexperience. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project starts in June 2024 and will be completed in March 2029. It will be located in Itapema, Santa Catarina, Brazil. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: We performed a test to verify the effects of wind on the Era. The wind tunnel test was carried out by NOVA Fluid Mechanics in Genoa, Italy. A reduced-scale model of the development and surroundings was built within a radius of 250m. With pressure sensors spread across the surface of the model, we were able to predict the climate effects on the development over a 50-year return period. The nautical theme of Era's architecture creates a sense of adventure and freedom, evoking the feeling of being inside a yacht. This, combined with the building's state-of-the-art technology, will make for a unique and inspiring living experience. Era's impact will extend beyond its aesthetic and technological innovations. It will offer residents a sense of community and belonging, with a focus on promoting social interactions and creating shared spaces that foster a sense of togetherness. Overall, Era's impact on the housing landscape of Itapema and its residents will be transformative, providing a new standard for modern living that prioritizes innovation, sustainability, and community.
