| DESIGN NAME: Light Patio PRIMARY FUNCTION: Community Public Space INSPIRATION: Introducing the design of the courtyard to the ground landscape forming the unique fifth facade of the interior space. Thus, natural light is introduced into the interior to solve the problem of insufficient lighting in the interior space. The cafe is located directly facing the outdoor landscape river, and forms a fluid space through the flowing state of water grains.Strengthen the advantage that the project is close to the landscape River. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This is a community public space. The project is that it is located in the underground space.Introducing the design of the courtyard to the ground landscape forming the unique fifth facade of the interior space.The cafe is located in front of the landscaped river, where people are willing to stay. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: There are cafe, reception room, waterscape courtyard and other activity Spaces.The project as a place for exchanges and gatherings, can promote family relationships and neighbourhood relationships, and become a city node that stimulates public energy. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in October 2022 in Nanning and finished in February 2023 in Nanning, and was opend in Nanning in February 2023. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: In the patio area, we use oversized rimless glass to achieve the scene without boundaries. Thus, natural light is introduced into the interior to solve the problem of insufficient lighting in the interior space. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Area 1075sqm TAGS: fifth facade, underground space, patio, fluid space, glass RESEARCH ABSTRACT: We want to improve project weaknesses that it is located in the underground space. At the same time, the project can provides a social and interactive place for the whole community, so as to improve the indifferent relationship between modern residential neighborhoods, and promote the exchange and interaction of neighborhoods. CHALLENGE: The biggest problem of the project is that it is located in the underground space, with poor indoor lighting and deep indoor space.Introducing the design of the courtyard to the ground landscape forming the unique fifth facade of the interior space.
