Assigning a Quality Score for Design Competitions - Results Abstract: A Good design competition should announce results. Before the results are announced, a date should be communicated; a good design award would announce the results at the given date. In addition to the results announcement, several statistics such as the number of participants and submissions shall be communicated; so that entrants can understand what it means to be a winner in this competition; did everyone win or was it one in a million.. Furthermore, the best design competitions would announce the results earlier to winners, giving them a time to work on patenting or other issues. A good competition would also release a press release for announcing winners and provide a URL with all the winners. This is the only criteria that is about post-competition results.
