Assigning a Quality Score for Design Competitions - Contact Details

Abstract: Although it seems trivial, the contact details are an important part of a design competition. There exist many competitions where the simplest details such as address, city/country, or phone are not present. A Good design competition should respect the participants, thus should also allow them the option to contact the organizers to clarify the missing or confusing details regarding organization; the simplest way to do is by providing contact details accessible to public. In addition to a postal address, it is suggested that a Fax, Phone Number and Email is included.

Please note that for the contact details score other information such as websites are not discussed in this section as they are discussed in detail in other sections.

Collected Information: Contact details within the Brief or Website.

Contact Details Score Sheet:

  1. Address, Score++10
    A good competition should indicate a communication address.
  2. City / Country, Score++10
    A good competition should indicate a country of origin.
  3. Phone, Score++10
    A good competition should provide a phone number for inquiries.

Maximum Possible Score (30) is achieved with a competition with the following configuration:

Contact Details Score Sheet:

  2. City / Country, Score++10
  3. Phone, Score++10
