Chao Wang, the lead designer of the winning design Grand Canal explains “This project shows the characteristics of Hangzhou and the elements of Chinese landscape culture. The use of whitewashed bricks and bluestone alleys combines traditional Chinese cultural elements with modern technology to create an interactive interior and exterior landscape.
