RONG ZHANG, the creator of the award winning project Above the Cloud says “The collection unfolds a dual effect from War to Fashion. By researching the 'The internment of Japanese American’ children and Constructivism's sculptures, these inspire oversized silhouettes and geometric textures. Exploring digital printing, hand dying, and 3D innovative pattern-making techniques, the concept goes against the over-simplified garments in mass production.
