Anna Garefalaki, the creator of the award winning architecture design Residence in Crete says “The L shaped residence, positioned on a large plot of land surrounded by neighbouring buildings, offers sea views to the northwest. The design is articulated in response to this visual connection with the water, establishing a constant dialogue between landscape and architecture. The building's external sides are austere, in order to ensure privacy within, while primary living accommodation is placed at the junction between the home’s two perpendicular volumes.
