Chanbin Park, the lead designer of the winning work Slim-L explains “It suggests a new form of printer and a new way of printer usage. Unlike typical printer, which is bulky, the shape of the printer looks like the alphabet 'L'. While the existing printer is placed on a desk, on the floor, on a shelf, etc., the 'Slim-L Printer' is hung to underside of the desk.It uses the dead space, under the desk, effective for space occupation of the printer.
