Maricris Floirendo Brias, the lead designer of the awarded work Coral explains “The coral wall panel or divider was created as a decorative accent for the home. Inspired by the sea life and beauty of the fan coral found in the Philippine waters. It is made of a metal frame structured and shaped like a coral covered with abaca fibers, from the banana family (musa textilis). The fibers are intricately twined by artisans.
