Zoha Khaniki, the lead designer of the winning jewelry design Susa Bird explains “Susa Bird Jewellery Set consists of minimal gold necklace and earrings which represent visual culture of ancient Iranians. Simple geometric form of pieces is aligned with modern minimal sense of aesthetics, but behind the form lies a story of years ago. What seems like a simple vertical line is in a closer look a bird, the very considered animal in history of Iran, repeatedly painted on dishes through historical periods. This design is inspired by the ones painted on Susa goblet.
