Pingtung County Government, the lead designer of the winning project A Stranger to Words explains “‘A Stranger to Words’ is an interactive network graph to visualize Meng's personal learning experience as a dyslexic. Based on her daily reading report, the personal database of 23,358 words, consisting of 4,525 nodes and 17,648 edges, were created originally to express how she understood words. Its goal is to reveal a connecting system of underlying text algorithm in a insightful way and to unfold personal sentiments through the capabilities of data visualization.
