A' International Design Award and Competition is pleased to announce that the architecture work Red Apple by Plamen Bratkov, Rossitza Bratkova, Nedko Nedev, Boyan Belchev, Nikolay Chatalbashev, Mila Petrova and Andrey Hodkevich has been honored with the notable Silver A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design Category elected as the winner by the transnational jury members of the A' Design Awards & Competitions within a great number of nominated projects.

Regarding Red Apple

Aedes Studio, the lead designer of the winning architecture design work Red Apple explains “Amidst the 70s socialist blocks this new building contains old-new, chaos-order, private-public polarities. Leading was the idea of an abandoned and renovated factory. Brick is the backbone of the concept creating a permeable shell with a regular grid of windows randomly missing or exaggerated to double-height glazings.
