AGC Design Ltd., the creative mind behind the winning cultural heritage design work Revitalization of Lui Seng Chun explains “Adaptive reused a Chinese tenement house as a Chinese Medicine Centre with minimum intervention and preserve authenticity of the old character of the building. New additions are hidden as much as possible to let the old element to be appreciated by the public. Glass enclosure is introduced to improve the clinical environment while the character of open veranda is maintained. Major façade of the building is preserved with the new exit stair put at the less obvious location.
