Che-Chia Hsu, the designer of the award winning lighting design Fine Interlock says “Due to technical and machine limitations, the shape of traditional wooden tenons can’t change too much. By combining soft tenon steps with CNC processing methods, the impression of the conventional tenon joint is subverted, and tenon craft has more possibilities in shape and application, genuinely making it come alive.
