PATRICIA ANASTASSIADIS, the lead designer of the winning furniture design Versa explains “Yin Yang is a principle of Chinese philosophy, which indicates two opposing and complementary energies. Just like the moon and the sun; the masculine and the feminine; the spirit and the body. In Chinese Philosophy, complementarity is the essence of life. Following this analogy, the Versa Table with rounded edges is formed by two identical pieces that fit together and complement each other, distinguished only by the difference in texture between the finishes of the two sectors at the top.
