Hideo Kumaki, the lead designer of the winning architecture design Enhako Bldg explains “The origin of En-hako meaning consists of two elements. The first En means Engawa which has traditional roots as a garden seat for welcoming guests associated with Japanese-style dwellings from medieval times in Japan. The rear Hako means the box or the venue, so to speak, refers to the building itself, which contains the functional tenant space for the facility. And,our purpose create a commercial building that is easily accessible to local people or a building that leaves the development to local businesses. It should be local area for local people.
