These three stages also apply to the various stages of Alzheimer's disease. Different design approaches are used in different stages. Combining tracing paper, a very fragile material, at an early stage can show the vulnerability of people with Alzheimer's disease. The temperature sensitive ink are combined with text in the mid-stage. When one places one's hand on it, writing appears. In the late stages, the book is combined with fire.
