Details of Germination
Atsushi Kobayashi, the creator of the award winning work Germination says “Germination is an immersive installation. It features an industrial robot arm which is choreographed as a sprout. At the beginning of the show, it germinates from the ground after a period of dormancy. The stage is composed of artifacts and things of nature. Light ball was installed on the top of the robot arm and controlled as if it had a life. And LED strips were installed for its roots. Projection mapping was applied to the stage and it gave audiences an immersive experience.
