Liao Jin-Zhi, the creative mind behind the winning print design Pool explains “Designer redesigns the look of algae with the Chinese character, and combined with numbers of algae on the cover, leading readers to associate with the topic immediately. Doodles of various types of algae are coated with translucent varnish which creates senses of watery reflection. They extended through the whole cover to create an image of pond that full of algae.
