Lu Jiadong, the lead designer of the winning graphic design work Capital of Ten Dynasties explains “Nanjing is a historical city in China. For geographical reasons, each dynasty in history is built on the foundation of the previous one, just like a thousand-layer cake, which inspired me to create this work. Ten dynasties have set up their capitals here.Dongwu, Eastern Jin, Southern Song, Southern Qi, Southern Liang, Southern Chen, Nan Tang, Ming Dynasty, Taiping Heavenly Kingdom and Republic of China.
