Nahian Bin Mahbub, the creator of the award winning work Sustainable says “This is a single-family residence design based on a site in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The goal was to design a sustainable living space in one of the most populated, polluted, and busiest cities in the world. Because of rapid urbanization and overpopulation, Dhaka has very little green space left. To make the residence self-sustainable, spaces from the rural area like the courtyard, semi-outdoor space, pond, deck, etc are introduced.
