A' International Design Award and Competition is pleased to announce that the project Haikou Bay by WoWA Architecture has been granted the famed Golden A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design Category picked as the winner by the international judging committee of the A' Design Awards & Competitions within a great number of submitted designs.

Concerning Haikou Bay

Shihi Chou, the creative mind behind the winning work Haikou Bay explains “This impressive "dynamic with the flow" and iconic landmark hotel allows urban view porosities to embrace both city and ocean. Spiral and the sloping urban roof garden of the hotel's ballroom promotes urban pedestrians' access and various activities. Almost 300m long building is cut into segments to bring down the overwhelming street scale and avoid "the wall effect".
