ana maria reque sotelo, the creative mind behind the winning fine art design work Meduse explains “These works are the reflection of the Marine Habitat. The object can be used as an indoor and outdoor lamp, designed to create new atmospheres with plays of light and shadows on the wall. Raku process: after the glazing and the second firing at 930 degrees celsius, the object is removed still hot from the oven and the thermal shock starts, this phase is managed in three minutes; the flames and the oxygen reduction method they are decisive both for the decorative crazing effect and for metallic and iridescent reflections.
