Ping-Hsin Chen, the creative mind behind the winning project Graceful Home explains “Design is the comprehensive creation encompassing functions, materials, craftmanship, costs, aesthetics, artistic styles, etc. The original house, before redecoration, had one living room, one dining room, one kitchen, and two bedrooms. Due to the inadequate sunlight and the poor air quality in the previous kitchen, the first priority of the design project is to rearrange the public area that has the smooth traffic flow, the improved interactive spaces and the greater sunlight and air quality.
