More information on Carpenter Hotel

Scott Specht, the creator of the award winning hospitality design work Carpenter Hotel says “A “mid-century-utilitarian” union hall was re-purposed as the lobby and restaurant with minimal changes. New hotel structures have a distinct architectural expression, but are harmonious with the existing hall and other unselfconscious industrial buildings in the area. It all fits together, and into its surroundings, seamlessly. The hotel has a concrete structural frame with infill walls made of clay masonry blocks and recycled oil-drilling pipe. It is simple and direct.” Learn more about the award winning design at: https://competition.adesignaward.com/design.php?ID=102714
