Customizable Emotions for Personalized Alarms
Jung Joo Sohn's T and F Timer redefines the traditional alarm experience by allowing users to select from five distinct emotions, each accompanied by custom-designed sounds and matching colors. This innovative approach aligns the alarm with anticipated activities, creating a sensory-rich encounter that enhances overall user engagement.

Users can easily set the alarm using the timer dial on the bottom, activating it by laying it down, and customizing the alarm sound based on their emotion. The product features a tilt sensor, LED lighting, and a Timer Module, all enclosed within dimensions of 55.5mm x 52mm x 38mm.

The project, initiated in November 2023 in the United States, was substantially completed in February 2024, with continuous updates and revisions. Sohn's research explores the impact of customized configurations on performance dynamics, addressing the increasing demand for personalized productivity tools.

As an assistant professor of industrial and interaction design at Purdue University, Jung Joo Sohn's multidisciplinary expertise has led to the creation of T and F Timer, a groundbreaking innovation in the field of alarm systems.
