Metro Salon: A Minimalist and Eco-Friendly Renovation

Metro Salon, designed by KUN-SEN CHANG, is a minimalist and eco-friendly renovation project finished in September 2022 in Taiwan, featuring an industrial style and innovative hair design.

KUN-SEN CHANG's Metro Salon stands out with its eco-friendly and stylish image, achieved through a minimalist approach to the renovation. The salon, built on private land, covers an area of 195 sq. ft on the 1st floor, emphasizing good circulation and depth of view. The design features a blend of gray and white tones, original concrete ceilings, and iron fittings, creating an industrial style and a cozy space for staff and customers.

The salon's unique properties include the retention of the original concrete ceiling, emphasizing monochrome colors, and the circulation of the two cores, facilitating staff work. The design realization technology incorporates gray paint, ironwork, polished quartz tiles, system panels, mirrors, glass, blinds, marbling, and metal, creating an industrial aesthetic.

The space is designed to operate around the color bar as the core, with good natural lighting and 5800k LED lights to enhance the customer experience. The project was awarded Bronze in A' Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design Award in 2024, recognizing its creativity and contribution to quality of life improvements.
