Beauty of Orient: Modern Minimalist Office Transformation
Dangli Design+SC Architects has transformed a 50-year-old residence into a modern minimalist design studio, utilizing the 'Whitecore Style' to enhance spaciousness and brightness while incorporating organic curves to create a human-oriented workspace.
The office features a low-saturation color scheme, organic curves, and a blend of materials such as laminate flooring, woodwork, baked paint, and stone pattern fabric, creating a relaxing yet avant-garde atmosphere.
The project, located in Taiwan, was completed in April 2022 and received the prestigious A' Design Award in 2024 for its innovative and practical approach to office design.
The design team overcame challenges related to the old house's condition, including foundation work, interior wiring, and restoration, to create a functional, safe, and refreshing office environment. The result is a space that enhances work efficiency, reduces stress, and embodies the Chinese culture of the golden mean.
