Zhean Chen's vision was to create a scale that not only addresses the aesthetic and size limitations of current products but also transforms the scale into a supportive wellness tool, making health monitoring an integrated part of daily life.

Odin, an AI-powered smart scale, measures BMI, body fat, and more, offering personalized insights through an app. It features a replaceable mat for style versatility, making it a perfect blend of elegance and advanced technology for any home.

The scale integrates touch activation, moisture detection, and AI analysis for an unmatched user experience. It vibrates to signal start and completion, with moisture detection ensuring accuracy by distinguishing between dry and wet conditions. The scale measures 21 body compositions in 20 seconds, and its AI component offers personalized meal and workout plans based on the data collected, elevating its performance beyond traditional scales.

Odin Wellness is designed with 8mm glass for stability and durability, sustainable plastic as the main body, the most accurate and smallest sensors in the market, and technical fabric that makes the mat instant-dry. The AI-powered smart assistant gives feedback and advice based on everyday body metrics.

The project started in May 2023 in California, United States, and involved extensive research and user testing to ensure the scale's effectiveness. The design philosophy aims to shift the narrative from avoidance to engagement, making wellness accessible and inviting for everyone.

Odin Wellness has been awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2024, recognizing its well-designed, practical, and innovative features that meet professional and industrial requirements, contributing to a better world.
