Uppo Walker

Poor posture is a common problem in the senior adult age group. Unlike conventional walkers, Uppo helps the user develop good posture habits. Uppo is an assistive mobility device that is used to ensure the stability and balance of the user. One of the results of good posture, stability and balance is overall improved confidence. The telescoping arms and collapsable body allow Uppo to take up the smallest footprint possible when not in use. This allows for maneuverable transport which encourages use outside of the house.

Genesis Solano

Genesis Solano is an Industrial Design student at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She has a great sensibility to emotion and design. Finding a path where she can funnel all her passion for empathy and creativity, she surrounds herself with the world of art, books, and good friends. The simple forms of her designs creates an identity that is relatable to many people around the world and having that sensibility to touch others makes her a designer for people.
